Air Fried Halloumi is beyond scrumptious! The high heat creates a crispy outer crust while the inside remains soft and gooey, making for a delicious snack or appetizer.
Drizzled with honey and fresh lime juice, the outside comes out golden brown and crispy while the inside is softened and salty - it goes perfect with the sweetness of the honey!
Halloumi is a Cypriot cheese that has a salty, slightly tangy taste and a firm texture. It is made from sheep's milk, but sometimes cow's milk is used as well.
I have actually done a few different cheese recipes in the air fryer. One of my favorites is Air Fryer Cheese Curds!

Common Questions
Yes, halloumi can be cooked in an air fryer and will result in a crispy texture on the outside and a gooey, melted center. It is important to preheat the air fryer before placing the sliced halloumi inside.
Cook at 390F degrees for 7-8 minutes, until golden brown.
Soaking is not necessary but can result in a softer texture. Simply pat the cheese dry before cooking if you do choose to soak it.
Storage Instructions
Allow the cooked halloumi to cool before transferring to an airtight container and storing in the refrigerator for up to one week. Reheat in the air fryer or on a skillet before serving.
Freezing options include wrapping the cheese well in plastic wrap and then placing it in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
