Ingredients

pound
asparagus
ends trimmed
2 ½
tablespoons
olive oil
5
tablespoons
fresh grated Parmesan cheese
3
garlic cloves
minced
½
teaspoon
black pepper
½
teaspoon
sea salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Place asparagus on a baking sheet.
Pour the olive oil, cheese, garlic, salt and pepper over the asparagus and mix to coat with your hands.
Roast for 10-13 minutes,
until easily pierced with a fork
.
Notes
Trim the bottom 2-3" off the asparagus to remove the woody dry ends and avoid stringiness when cooking.
You may need to roast your asparagus for a few extra minutes if the stalks are thicker.
Thin asparagus should only be cooked for 9-11 minutes.
Make sure to arrange the asparagus in a single layer so it cooks evenly.
If you want the cheese ultra browned, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end (reduce roast time by 1-2 minutes).
