Seafood Butter Sauce
Garlicky, lemony and spicy, this

Ingredients

stick butter
½ cup
4
garlic cloves
minced

teaspoon
Old Bay Seasoning
¼
small onion
minced

teaspoons
lemon juice
¼
teaspoon
cayenne pepper
½
teaspoon
smoked paprika
1
tablespoon
honey
½
teaspoon
thyme
1
teaspoon
lemon pepper seasoning
½
teaspoon
salt
Instructions
Melt the butter over
medium-low heat
in a skillet or large saucepan.
Sauté the onion and garlic for
2-3 minutes, until softened
.
The goal is to soften, not brown the onion and garlic.
Add the remaining ingredients and
cook 2-3 minutes
, being careful not to let the spices burn.
Remove and serve with steamed or poached seafood.
Notes
Feel free to
double or triple the recipe
. It can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Be careful
not to brown the onions and garlic
. You just want to soften them in the butter.
You’ll also want to be careful
not to boil the butter mixture
. Just let it simmer. You don’t want the spices to burn.
If you’re not a fan of spicy, you can
reduce or omit the cayenne pepper.
If you like it spicier, feel free to
add a pinch of red pepper flakes
or more cayenne pepper.
You can also change it up by adding some
Cajun seasoning
.
